What counts as an active MID?
A MID counts in a month when money moved for it, it was boarded, or your team or the merchant used Discovery for it. Leads and closed MIDs never count, and seasonal merchants don’t count in months they’re idle.
How do XRay credits work?
Each active MID that processes with XRay and does $1,000+ a month in card sales takes $3 off your platform fee. Credits can take the platform fee to $0 — Core at 50 such MIDs, every pack at 417 — but never below $0, never as cash, and never against MID fees.
Why are own-processor MIDs priced per MID?
Discovery does the same work for a merchant on your own processor — the record, boarding, support and reporting — without the processing that pays for it on XRay. So your first 25 active MIDs are included, then it’s flat dollars: $1.50 each for MIDs 26–500, $1.00 for 501–2,500, and $0.60 above that. Never a share of your volume or residuals.
Is there a contract?
Month-to-month by default. Annual prepay is optional. List prices change at most once a year, with 60 days’ notice.
Will XRay contact my merchants?
No. We don’t shop your merchants behind your back. XRay staff can see your book in Discovery to support and bill it, and never use it to market to your merchants.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. API access and full exports are included on every plan, with 25 months of history.
What’s the usage allowance?
AI features, Google Places lookups and KYB checks draw on a monthly allowance: $25 with Core plus $10 per pack, or $100 at All-Access. Past that, usage is billed at cost + 20%. The live estimate leaves usage out.
Monthly or annual prepay?
Monthly by default. Annual prepay is 12 months for the price of 10 on the platform fee. XRay credits don’t combine with prepay, so if much of your book is on XRay, monthly usually wins — the estimate shows which is cheaper for you.
Who bills my sub-partners?
XRay bills every organization directly, including your sub-partners. Each one pays its own platform fee and earns its own XRay credits. No reselling.
Can I bring my book from IRIS / Merchant Central or spreadsheets?
Yes — we’ll plan the import with you on your call.
I already use Discovery. Does this change my account?
Nothing on this page changes an existing account. Your partner manager will walk you through pricing before anything is billed.
When do I get a login?
After your call, XRay staff create your workspace. There’s no self-serve sign-up yet.
